Jeep Gladiator Price: What Can You Expect Going Forward?

February 17th, 2023 by

With prices trending up, there is some natural anxiety about just how expensive things can get. The Jeep Gladiator price for 2023 MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) starts at $38,305. Certain trims sell for more, such as the Rubicon and Mojave which are both priced at $50,250 MSRP. What can you expect from the price going forward? If it’s going up, how much can you expect to pay from year to year? Is now the right time to buy?

We’ll look back at the last two years in Jeep Gladiator prices. We’ll see what they were, how much they’ve gone up, and what new features could potentially justify those increases. With that information in mind, we’ll try to imagine just what kind of prices we can expect going forward.

2022 Jeep Gladiator Price

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator price was $37,170 MSRP, with the Rubicon and Mojave trims going for $49,110 MSRP. That’s about $1100 less than the 2023 MSRP baseline model. The biggest addition to the 2022 Gladiator was a 7-inch touch screen. This is the biggest bonus compared to the previous year’s model. This standard feature for the 2022 Gladiator supports both AndroidAuto and Apple CarPlay.

2021 Jeep Gladiator Price

When searching for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator price, it typically goes for $34,960 MSRP. The Rubicon and Mojave, however, go upwards of $45,240. In 2020, the Jeep Gladiator typically went for around $33,545 MSRP. This shows an increase of a little over $1000 ($1415) from 2020 to 2021. The biggest addition to the 2021 Jeep Gladiator from 2020 was turbodiesel support, which isn’t reflected in the base MSRP.

What to Expect Going Forward for the Jeep Gladiator

From 2021 to 2023, the Gladiator has gone up over $3000 MSRP (approximately $3,345). For the Rubicon and Mojave trims, the difference is just over $5000 ($5010) between those years. Some of that is attributable to inflation, as well as new features being added to the models. Going forward, the most logical expectation is for the price to continue to increase, possibly with new features added.

If this trend continues, one could estimate a hypothetical 2024 Jeep Gladiator to sell at a starting price of approximately $39,000 MSRP. The Gladiator Rubicon and Mojave would both naturally sell for more (most likely around $50-51,000 MSRP).

Going forward, new models will likely feature new improvements and additions from past years. These will also likely cost more than the previous year’s models. This doesn’t reflect on the overall capability of the Gladiator from year to year, however.

Every year the Jeep Gladiator has demonstrated dependable power and performance that makes for a sound choice. The question quickly becomes which features customers consider invaluable or worth the additional expense. A great example of this is the 7-inch touch screen available on 2022 Jeep Gladiators and onward.

If this is the determining factor, the choice between a 2022 or 2023 Gladiator to a 2021 is clear. Even if a new model might cost more than the 2021, that additional functionality is worth it. No matter how much you’re spending, the Gladiator offers power and performance that make it well worth the investment.
